Press runs with our 10x15 Chandler & Price Gordon-style jobbing press are always an undertaking! For this press run, Howard and Jared are using black rubber base ink to print a large photo engraving of a cartoon depiction of Howard and his favorite letterpress saying, “Mind your p’s & q’s.” The artwork was created by our staff member, Shawn. It has become a tradition here at the Sacramento History Museum to send out holiday cards to our donors and supporters of our institution. These 2024 holiday cards (250 this year) were printed using one of our printing presses we have on display in our print shop exhibit, the 10x15 Chandler & Price Gordon-style jobbing press that was manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio in 1902.
