Matt Richardson, a three-time Olympic medallist in Paris for Australia before he sensationally defected to the land of his birth, has been ruled out of the Commonwealth Games.

One rider was stretchered off the track and others required medical attention after a spectacular crash during the men's 10km scratch race.
