Freakies cereal was a puffed cereal with marshmallows, consisting of crunchy, light brown, torus-shaped pieces. It was Ralston's first major venture into the sweetened ready-to-eat cereal market and was marketed using a cast of seven creatures known collectively as 'the Freakies'. The cereal pieces were Cheerios-esque loops with a flavor reminiscent of Quaker's Quisp cereal. Freakies cereal was sold in the 1970s and also had associated toys.
